So what are we actually doing? Well...it's a work in progress. We'll update this page as we make more definite plans, but at the moment our plan is to walk along cycle route 4...which looks like this, and is about 211 miles! Eeeeek!
As you can see, it's not the most direct route, but it should be safe and if you zoom in a bit or take a look at street view you'll see we'll be walking through some lovely places!
We'll be starting at Cardiff New Theatre, as that's where this whole journey really began for the two of us when we saw the '20th Century Boy' musical there and discovered Marc in the first place, and it's also just a couple of minutes away from what was formerly the Capitol Theatre, where T. Rex played in 1972. The finish line will be - where else? - the Bolan Tree, in Barnes, London. We're currently hoping to do it in ten days (again, we're still in the planning stages at the moment!) and aim to finish on September 30th - Marc's 68th birthday.
Check back for more information - we will keep updating as our plans become more definite! The main thing is, though, that it's definitely happening, it's definitely going to be painful and exhausting and a real, difficult challenge, and we need your support. We're willing to put ourselves through this, even if that means crawling across the finish line in tears, because we really believe that the school is a wonderful and worthwhile project, and that we can make a difference. Please help us to do that - we can't do it without you.
